William (Bill) "Jimbo" Simmons is a Choctaw from Oklahoma and member of the Leadership Council of the American Indian Movement West (AIM-WEST).

His work for the past 40 years was just not limited to the Indian Movement in North America and the United Nations but also to build International Solidarity with and amongst Indigenous Peoples, Liberation struggles and movements around the world.

He attended the UN 1981 Conference in Geneva as one of the representative of the American Indian Movement (AIM) and participated for more than 25 years in many sessions of the UN Commission on Human Rights as a representative of the International Indian Treaty Council (IITC).

As part of this project, he participated in the 2013 Symposium and the 2015 Symposium.

William (Bill) "Jimbo" Simmons es un choctaw de Oklahoma y miembro del Consejo de Liderazgo del Movimiento Indio Americano Oeste (AIM-WEST).
