Charles Uwiragiye was the former Executive Secretary of the Association pour la Promotion des Batwa (APB). In 1994 he left Rwanda and managed to reach Geneva; where he attended the meeting of the UN Working Group on Indigenous Populations and travelled through Europe; visiting several NGO’s and government representatives to inform them on the situation in Rwanda in general and; more specifically; on the position of the Batwa. He is the Co-Founder and the Executive Director of Cultural Conservation Act (CCA) an NGO in Rwanda.
As part of this project, he participated in the 2017 Kenya Workshop.
